OBJECTIVE
Update current packaging to new visual brand language.
BACKGROUND
Mag-Torch was purchased by Worthington Industries and required new branding. An outside agency created the overall packaging artwork, it was then handed over to me to carry it through to print.
PROCESS & DESIGN
I proofed the packaging for correct copy, translations, warnings and artwork. I worked with the Regulatory department to ensure all warnings and statements met the required guidelines for different countries. As new products were introduced into our line, I created packaging for those. After all packaging was approved, I ensured everything was ready to be sent to print.
OBJECTIVE
Give the Dyenomite Apparel catalog a design and concept overhaul.
BACKGROUND
Dyenomite releases a yearly catalog for its existing and new customers, featuring the years hottest tie-dye styles.
PROCESS & DESIGN
I lead the design and development for this 80-page catalog from beginning to end. The catalog is designed to feature the best selling and up and coming dye styles in the lifestyle photos. Previously there was no solid reasoning on how the information was sorted and displayed on the page. With this in mind, I planned, researched and worked with the sales department to create a catalog that makes sense. I worked closely with the Photographer and Marketing Coordinator to plan the photoshoots, models and the designs printed on the shirts. The catalog went into print production and was also linked for web.
OBJECTIVE
Design an updated Balloon Time homepage based off the same layout and information, that utilizes the new branding elements.
DESIGN
This homepage is based on creative changes made throughout the brand. It features the new iconography, color themes, typography and product based photography.
OBJECTIVE
We needed a presentation for a sales meeting. After deciding that a PowerPoint did not fit our brand personality, we created this booklet. Lauren AgriSystems, a Lauren International company, creates and sells milking products for dairies and utilizes their sister companies to help manufacture. The booklet needed to include a brief history of Lauren International, a description of each subsidiary and details about Lauren AgriSystems.
PROCESS & DESIGN
This 56-page booklet was completed from idea to print in one week. We already had written content for half of the book, making the design concept the largest part of the project. Lauren AgriSystems focuses on simplicity, bold colors and images to convey their message, which is illustrated throughout the booklet.
RESULT
The end result was made possible by magnificent teamwork, honesty and trust between my boss, the president of Lauren AgriSystems, and myself.
OBJECTIVE
Design a generic box for mini-quads and a label to identify each product.
BACKGROUND
Rotor Riot is a YouTube channel featuring some of the world's most talented FPV multirotor pilots. Rotor Riot teamed up with Impulse RC to sell various quadcopters.
DESIGN
The design exemplifies the grunge that is seen throughout many Rotor Riot designs. I worked directly with the Rotor Riot creator Chad Kapper and pilot Tommy Tibajia to create a box that can be used for a variety of quads for many years.
OBJECTIVE
Collaborate with copywriters to generate content about the happenings within Lauren International companies.
BACKGROUND
I’ve been involved with this newsletter and watched it grow from one page focused on wellness to a 16-page magazine covering many aspects of the organization. Always striving for continuous improvement, our team established the following goals:
- Advance Lauren’s mission and values.
- Recognize the contributions of employees.
- Demonstrate that by working at Lauren, you can make a difference.
DESIGN
This design focuses on employees and recognizing them for their efforts. The simple design uses pull quotes and employee photos to highlight this focus. Because Lauren International has flexible brand guidelines, it enabled me to tailor each page to the specific article. This is shown by utilizing colors found in photos/graphics and applying them to text. The newsletter design feels cohesive from front to back cover with consistent paragraph styles and bold photos.
OBJECTIVE
Design a business card that is worth keeping.
BACKGROUND
Rotor Riot is a YouTube channel featuring some of the world's most talented FPV multirotor pilots. The pilots are known around the world in the FPV community.
DESIGN
These business cards were designed to be a collectible. The front of each pilot card features their personal YouTube channel, website and email. The back of the cards feature the pilot's photo with space for an autograph.
The general card contains all social media handles. Originally, the card was supposed to have a stencil of the brand mark—this was not possible through our plastic card provider, so we opted to make the mark transparent.
OBJECTIVE
Create a logo and design elements for a marketing platform for NaviGate Prepared.
BACKGROUND
NaviGate Prepared is a school safety software program. They ensure the user is prepared for the future and protected in the present. NaviGate Prepared is using Influitive as a marketing platform for their customers to complete challenges, earn badges and get free swag. The theme is camping/navigation.
DESIGN
I designed a badge-style logo, featuring four icons that best represent NaviGate Prepared through camping:
- The backpack symbolizes being prepared. NaviGate Prepared provides you with everything you need.
- The compass symbolizes navigation. A compass always points North and NaviGate Prepared always points you in the right direction.
- The tent symbolizes protection, safety and security [from the elements].
- The map shows you where to go and helps you get there. Just like NaviGate Prepared creates maps to provide you with key information and locations.
OBJECTIVE
Design business cards and assist with the rollout of the new Lauren International logo.
BACKGROUND
Lauren International provides a strong foundation for its five subsidiaries.
DESIGN
The newly-designed logo is black and white and the business cards are designed to match. Being the parent company, we didn't want Lauren International to be in the forefront when featured with its subsidiaries. The business cards match the simplistic feel of the logo, showing Lauren International is bold, confident and progressive.
PRODUCTION
The cards were printed through MOO, on their Luxe paper to match the quality of Lauren International.
